詩(shī)行里有著古代詩(shī)人的抒情色彩，哀嘆著激情終有耗盡的一天。

The Falling of the Leaves

Autumn is over the long leaves that love us，

And over the mice in the barley sheaves；

Yellow the leaves of the rowan above us，

And yellow the wet wild-strawberry leaves．

The hour of the waning of love has beset us，

And weary and worn are our sad souls now；

Let us part，ere the season of passion forget us，

With a kiss and a tear on thy drooping brow.

葉正飄

眷戀我們的柔長(zhǎng)的葉子秋天已至，

秋天已至蜷縮在麥捆里的田鼠；

染黃我們頭頂山梨樹(shù)的葉子，

染黃了葉子濕濕的野草莓。

我們困處這時(shí)光愛(ài)已凋萎，

疲倦了我們的憂傷的心；

分手吧，趁激情還沒(méi)有全然消退，

留下一吻在你低垂的額上和一滴淚。
